PELATIHAN MEMBACA PEMAHAMAN DENGAN METODE SQ3R PADA SISWA KELAS V PAKET A DI PKBM AS SAHABAT BOGOR

Abstract

The training which is a community service is given to elementary school students in the fifth grade in Bogor. It applies the method of reading comprehension which is called SQ3R which stands for Survey, Question, Read, Recite, and Review. The objectives of the training are to improve the reading comprehension skill of the learners and to give the teaching model for teachers to teach reading comprehension to learners. The result of this training based on the interview with learners is this method, SQ3R, acceptable for them compared to the previous conventional method. Additionally, this method makes the learners read the text based on the steps using the method. It results in the improvement of the reading comprehension skills of the learners.
