Inisiasi Kampung Inggris Sukadiri di Kelurahan Kasunyatan Banten

Abstract

Tourism development in Indonesia is becoming a major focus. All areas that have tourism potential are motivated to develop and become tourist destinations. It motivates the people of Sukadiri Village, Kasunyatan, Banten. The community leaders expressed their wishes and needs to make their village to have a good development to the Untirta English Language Education Study Program. A positive response was given by the English Language Education Study Program which then formed a community service team. In collaboration with CSR PLN UIT JBB Cilegon, the community service team created a program aimed at establishing a Sukadiri English Village and organizing training for Pokdarwis Sukadiri. The program steps were determined as follows: FGD,team building, sponsorship, FGD with sponsors, program implementation, and program supervision. The program showed good results, the English village Sukadiri was established and the English language training for Pokdarwis was carried out. The Sukadiri English Village brings hopes that the development of the Sukadiri village in the tourism sector will be rapid and the awareness of exploring the potential of human resources will increase.
