SATUAN TUGAS PENCEGAHAN DAN PENANGANAN KEKERASAN DI LINGKUNGAN PERGURUAN TINGGI (PPKPT) UNIVERSITAS LIA
Abstract
Violence in higher education institutions has become a critical and urgent issue that directly affects the safety, dignity, and well-being of academic communities made up of students, faculty members, and staff. Universitas LIA, as its dedication to upholding moral principles, human rights, and academic integrity, was quick to respond to Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology Regulation No. 55 of 2024 by establishing a Task Force for Prevention and Handling of Violence in Higher Education (PPKPT). This service-learning initiative was particularly designed to strengthen institutional capacities for prevention, early detection, crisis response, and continuous training on issues related to sexual violence, bullying, and discrimination. The PPKPT Task Force is responsible for implementing awareness campaigns, outreach events, training, receipt and follow-up of complaints, and engaging internal and external stakeholders in building a robust and inclusive campus community. This article presents the program background, implementation strategies, greatest accomplishments, challenges, and policy recommendations for sustainability and effectiveness of the PPKPT Task Force's operation.
