MENYELISIK TINDAK TUTUR DIREKTIF DAN EKSPRESIF PADA SERIAL KARTUN INDONESIA TRUNG TUNG: KAJIAN PRAGMATIK

Abstrak

Speech acts based on their application can not only be observed through their application
in everyday life. Still, they can also be kept in other media, including the Indonesian
cartoon series Trung Tung. The existence of children's cartoon series on television media
influences language development in children. Other studies have also carried out research
on directive and expressive speech acts. The novelty in this study is that the research object
is in the form of a cartoon series just released in Indonesia, namely the Trung Tung cartoon
series in 2022. The research was conducted using qualitative research and an ethnographic
approach based on the pragmatic theory of communication activities. The data source in
this study was the Indonesian cartoon series Trung Tung in the episode titled Tell Around

You and Queue Doong. The procedure used in collecting data in this study used the note-
taking process and analyzed it based on the aspects contained in the directive and

expressive speech acts. The research resulted in various speech actions in the
communication of the Trung Tung cartoon series in the form of directive and graphic
speech acts. Various directive speech acts include prohibiting, inviting/inviting, ordering,
advising, criticizing, and denying. Meanwhile, explicit speech acts can be found, such as
attacking, complaining, blaming, praising, and thanking.
