STRATEGI PENERJEMAHAN HUMOR PADA KOMIK KIMETSU NOYAIBA VOLUME 4 KE DALAM BAHASA INDONESIA

Abstract

Humor is one element that cannot be removed from human life. However, the results of the translation of humor in the target language are sometimes not as funny as the humor in the source language and vice versa. Spoken or written translations that can transfer the humor into the target language as well as the source language are good translations. This research aims to find out the translation strategy used by the translator, namely Sabit Bito Cintaku, in translating the humor in the comic Kimetsu no Yaiba volume 4 by Koyoharu
Gotouge into Indonesian. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method. The theory of translation strategies by Baker is used in this research. From the 10 data examined, the results show that the translator uses 4 translation strategies. Two data for words in general meaning, 4 data for paraphrasing with words that have no relation, 3 data for paraphrasing with words that have relations, and dissapearance 1 data for paraphrasing the omission in translating the humor contained in the comic Kimetsu no Yaiba volume 4 into Indonesian.
